A gallery of photos from our professional photographer, Holly Greene, who does beautiful work out of Glens Falls, NY under the name Out of the Ordinary Photography.
We'll post our own collection, both of her and others' work here in the future (we're looking through and editing thousands of photos right now!). Contact us to send us your own photos if you'd like to share!
As I said in my last blog entry, still looking for me on that Ducati!
Yesterday our photographer, Holly Greene (previously Holly Schreckengost), published her gorgeous set of photos from our wedding on April 28th.
She did a fantastic job, both Mark and I loved working with her, and I would highly encourage you to check her out. She got married on Cinco de Mayo herself, so congratulations Jim and Holly Greene!!!
Mark and I now have tons of photos of Holly's to work with, plus Moose's 1000, and we still haven't seen Ken's set.
Recent discovery via my mother:
Take "Zander". Switch the "Z" to an "M". Now rearrange the letters to create ...
OMG WE'RE MARRIED!!!
It's time to run out the door, but thanks everyone for coming - we had a wonderful, wonderful time!!!
Photos will be coming soon.
Mr. & Mrs. Menard.
Yes, yes it is. Finally. I think last year I remember even the beginning of April had delightful greenery...
and here we are, only days from May, and the maple outside my bedroom window only started to green up two days ago!
But now, Spring is Busting Out. Everywhere. It's becoming green, green GREEN. And it happened, just like *that*.
I'd love it if Saturday hit 60 or was anything like today. Mmmm.
PS:
The Hudson has swelled over its banks in the last few days, what with ice and snow coming down on Sunday, followed by rain the last several days. The dam just north of downtown is nearly invisible, plus many of the roads south of us have been flooded. I heard from Libby that the basement was flooded with nine inches of water on Monday morning - ugh!
Despite all that, I walk outside and SMELL Spring! It's moist, humid, warm...even with the swift breezes that blow. It's coming. It's turning the grass just a little greener every day, and people tell me of crocuses blooming (I have yet to see one) all over.
Well, I guess I've got an excuse for not blogging...the wedding's only 10 days away!
My 10 days are full, full FULL.
My brother is getting an award for his poetry tonight at RPI - boy, 8 years ago I would have thought I'd be the one writing poetry, and he be in science...guess you can never tell!!
I've got a book idea, though I might have to write it under a pseudonym. haha. I'm still working on reading Bill Bryson's great book "the mother tongue".
The wedding is coming, steady and sure. A friend's blue afghan showed up today, a great addition to our couch. We threw a small wine and food and dancing party Saturday night for friends, in addition to having a blue bracelet made for my by some of the women in my life earlier in the day. X-tina throws a wonderful shower. People keep notifying us of their travel plans and hotel arrangements, and we made reservations for a delightful B&B in Brattleboro VT for after the wedding!
We're throwing a party!

What a busy week I've had.
Mark showed up late last night as I briefly awoke. Rachel's been here all week, and I've been back and forth working every other day. When I'm not at work (and dropping food on the floor - today was yogurt, a piece of Luna Bar, some cottage cheese, and just now some of my dinner) we've been working really hard at being crafty. I, too, was also spending much time praying to the God of Printers as I babysat said printer.
uh....the weather.... wow!!! totally classic nurse.
the saga: drove into work at 6:30am on v-day, wednesday, slipping and sliding like a mofo. i was only supposed to work 8 hours. they asked me to work 4 more hours for double pay(!) since people weren't making it in. of course i said SURE...and they let me take 4 hours off thursday (today, the 15th).
4:30pm wednesday i slog through the snow to clean off my car in the parking lot - people are NUTS on the roads, nothing is cleaned off. there's a guy in the parking lot with a shovel, and they are *just* starting to plow the lot. the guy with the plow literally plows me out, and the other guy shovels me the rest of the way out. huzzah!
