Hello Again!
It's been a long time. I am very pregnant now...33 weeks and counting...and a friend read my blog tonight and found out we're having a baby - surprise! (whoops!)
Life has been quite busy - I was sick for a month in December (did you get that nasty virus too?!), have finally gone to part-time this month, and we are getting ready for baby. I just set up a flickr selection for belly photos. It seems that even going to part-time, my days are just as full as if I were working 5 days a week...I'm getting to run all the errands and do things I haven't been able to do while working full-time...and I'm just as tired.
I've been feeling under the weather the last few days, so my staple foods have become ginger tea (grated and boiled), fresh dandelion greens in several different recipes (vinegar or garlic! yum!), stir fry full of veggies and onions and garlic, and glasses and glasses full of water.
My pregnant body has already been needing water through the night, but last night I drank three 14-oz glasses full of water, plus 2 cups of ginger tea!!
Dandelion Greens:
I've been treating myself to the sauteed dandelions at least twice a week since I found them in both Hannaford and Price Chopper's veggie section! It makes the baby happy, and strengthens the liver.
I have been avoiding posting lately because such big things are happening in our lives that it feels strange to post about them...and we wanted to wait for a little while to announce to the world that we're "expecting," "having a baby," and "knocked up"!
So, we're twelve weeks pregnant and publicly announcing it (hah!). Woooohooooeeee! I have a cousin who is expecting her (fifth!) child two weeks after me, and we found out today that our friends from Denver, CO are expecting their third in just two months! Wow! The world is popping out all over! We're bringing life into the world.
So I've been working on one or two blog posts, but haven't put anything together.

Mark got it back up and running from Staunton, VA where he is out riding for the weekend looking for some excellent roads, and I went out rollerskating with his dad tonight. I haven't been on wheels or blades in years, it was very fun and I'll be going again.
I have entered the world of blogging! I had a now-gone Google website I started writing several months ago with very little content. Drupal is exceedingly more conducive to blogging...Now I'll be able to update and change information as my life changes...exciting!
